How sad. Might as well say "no fun" or "no living"

A great campaign. I saw this scene earlier this year. Children playing in the river. Denied access to the river bank. You only get access if you have the money to buy it. Seems wrong to me.

A good thread Cat. You make some very important points. Polarisation is worrying. We need nature recovery that is as holistic as it can be. Room for diversity in that.

Wonderful! Saw them earlier this year. I miss them. Magical. bsky.app/profile/simo...
One of the most amazing things about Corfu was the swifts. They screeched across the sky in the old town, screaming over the rooftops and through the squares. It was a raw and thrilling spectacle. Two different photos here, one black and white and the other colour. Which do you prefer?

I think that journey began quite a long time before Brexit.

Completely agree. It is possible to do development with the environment in mind. However many developers don't want to. It is their refusal to properly consider it that causes delays. Not the environment itself. It makes me sad that so little respect is given to our beleaguered environment.

It is fantastic that this species has spread so far across England now. Great that it has reached Grafton!

Me too! I've seen it before at group moth nights but never caught my own. One day!

They are amazing. A pair bred in Somerset a few years ago which is the only other time I'd see them. But then they were far away. Got amazing views in Corfu.

Well said Alasdair. We definitely do need hope. It can be easy to lose it in these tough times. We all have to find ways to keep it, so we can keep fighting the good fight for nature.

Fantastic video. I wonder if that's ever been filmed before like that. Do you know the temperature they reach and the difference it is to the surroundings?
