But that's not good enough.

Despair isn't helpful, and the people trying to obfuscate progress *want* you to give up.

The best we can do is take the hits and keep going.

Just keep showing up, and do your best.

Don't get me wrong, there have been reasons to be hopeful this month - see the latest IEA report predicting record renewables rollout, or the toppling of coal by renewables as the largest source of electricity.

But this has been an extremely bad month and this latest story has really got to me.

I should say that as methaneSAT has sadly been lost, they've re-recorded the voiceover with a North American voice - which has the upside of not needing to listen to me this time!

That's from the BBC's coverage, I've not cared enough to look at multiple sources. Wouldn't be at all surprised if it was off, I know crowd counting is an inexact science

Getting angry at these people is like getting angry at your Sim.

It's not their fault that they have collapsed in a puddle of tears instead of making dinner. You have to look at the factors that led them to do that.

And fix them.

It's the same with climate skeptics. The people posting illiterate comments online are not the people that you should be angry at. The people you should be angry at are those manipulating illiterate people into acting this way, and of course the people paying them to do that.

But getting angry at these people is not the way that we get out of the political dichotomy the country is falling into. You have to look at the underlying issues and why these people feel this way and why they are choosing to make their feelings known in this manner.

For transparency, I should say that this wasn't my first reaction to this rally. My first reaction was one of anger. Especially at comments online like "this is the safest London has been in years" and "the government are lying to you, there's clearly 8x that number there".
