Why such an endorsement from the leader of the opposition when there are so many other people more worthy of receiving this? Doesn't really seem to recognise that judgements are made on future support on all the actions a leader takes.

Last night's prog on BBC2 presented by Dr Chris Van Tulken - Irresistible - why we can't stop eating food - now on BBC iPlayer is certainly worth a watch. The parallels historically with how tobacco was perceived are thought provoking.

Great to see real expertise being directed at such a key issue. The ask on teachers has snowballed in recent years - a focus on reducing the expectations placed on the role is fundamental. The scope of the role must reflect reality not the ask from competing pressure groups.

Government that had been in power for 14 years imposed the cost cutting. Government that came to power 4 months ago has commissioned the research which is commendable and clearly places understanding of this as a high priority.
