I congratulated the youth members for being part of a chapter of the story of African Youth, especially that they have a role to play in paving the way for those following closely behind them.

It is very key to create platforms for the youth to bring forward proposals that can propel national and East African goals, as well as influence the international agenda; and this is the start.

I recently addressed youth leaders from across the East African Region, meeting for the two-day 7th East African Youth Parliament being held at the East African Legislative Assembly in Arusha, Tanzania.
