Ok there is a pattern here: he likes sad books.

But one of the best accounts of AIDS crisis - going between 80’s Chicago & modern Paris. A true epic, with a band of characters you’ll fall in love with.

Something that’ll probably still make you cry, but you’ll also laugh a lot too. This is an incredible account of underground queer culture (and quite a lot of sex too 🔥).

(I lied earlier, this is nonfiction too)

A depressing one… published in the 70’s and just a little slip of a thing you can finish in an afternoon a brutal account of one woman’s abuse by men. A tough read but one that’ll stick with ya.

Next up the only non-fiction on the list. Killing Thatcher reads more like a crime novel though- I could not put it down and devoured it in a couple of days.
