My 3 favorite Photoshop plugins:
- Coolorus: A color wheel that feels natural. I build palettes much faster with it.
- Perspective Tools 2: Quick grids, vanishing points, horizon control, all without messy hacks.
- Layer Renamer: Batch-rename layers in one click. No more 'Layer 237 copy copy'.

#TBT to a 2012 post-apocalyptic concept I made over a decade ago.
Still happy with the atmosphere in this one.
This one reminds me why I did it that way, even if I’d do it all differently now.

If I remember right, this was one of my first sketches using HeavyPaint.
Still come back to it now and then... I really like the philosophy behind the app.

Just slowing down and enjoying the brush.

Ink and Character: Digital Portrait Study in Rebelle 7
June 1, 2025 at 4:01 PM
Last night was an 'ink' night.
No plan, just lines. Just a bunch of quick drawings, some weird, some loose, all fun to make.

We rely so much on sliders in digital painting that we forget how real color mixing works.

Try this browser challenge and see how close you can get using a limited palette:

I scored 99%, probably thanks to regular gouache and oil painting.

Curious to see how others do... 😜

Super quick three-value study I made in Adobe Fresco, focusing on simplifying forms and controlling composition through light and shadow.

I enjoyed my trial of Rebelle7 so much that I finally bought it.
It bridges my traditional art background with digital tools beautifully.
This first portrait shows how well it handles oils, pencils, impasto, and fluid effects. Super impressed, definitely worth adding to my toolkit!

Pushing my experiments with Rebelle 7 even further, this time diving into oil painting tools, and I have to say, I’m seriously impressed. The way the paint blends, smudges, and interacts with the canvas feels incredibly natural. The brush textures and depth make digital painting feel almost tactile.

I've been trying out Rebelle 7, and WOW... this painting software is excellent!
If you appreciate the things traditional media can do in a digital space, this is really worth checking out. 🥰

Created on iPad with infinite.painter: an amazing app for replicating natural media like pencils, oils, gouache, and watercolor. Plus, it offers full control over paper textures and depth. Highly recommend! #DigitalArt #InfinitePainter #iPadArt

Just heard that Massimiliano Frezzato has passed, and it’s hard to process. His work inspired me when I was making comics. I was lucky to meet him at conventions and even appeared in 'Tour de France', where he drew me sketching beside him in Angoulême.

Massimiliano, you left too soon. Rest in peace

Throwback Thursday: Found a Batgirl sketch I made over 10 years ago, and it brought back so many memories.

Do you ever look back at old artworks and feel they look both distant and familiar? #ThrowbackThursday #BatgirlArt

Exploring textures in Infinite Painter.
Pushing boundaries with this amazing iPad painting app is always a great experience.
I’ve included a close-up to highlight the subtle halftones more clearly.

Saying that I love Barcelona is an understatement. So many charming streets and lovely places to discover…
This sketch was inspired by one of its charming corners.
