Conspiracy fiction in the 90s was still fun, because there was an implicit understanding that only a minority of weirdoes actually believed that stuff, and that the majority of the population had a firm hold on what was real...

I'd rather have simpler production values and old school 22-episode seasons. That'd make it something substantially different to the movies, rather than just being...really long repeats of the movies.

Stranger Things I think just about got away with it by using time skips...but Harry Potter has the year-by-year pacing built in to the story. It's going to be very weird. :D

Given how absurdly, inexplicably slow streaming TV production seems to be these days, I don't quite see how they're going to keep any sort of sensible pace with the child actors' physical growth.

That was always the best magic trick in the original films.
