I used to hear it as “I guess that’s so we don’t have a pot,” meaning the crazy kids spent their money for the purpose of not having a pot. Not sure when I realized it was, “I guess that’s so, we don’t have a pot,” meaning that it is indeed true they can't maintain a pot due to their spending.
