Had a great time at Develop Brighton, meeting and talking to so many people taking creative approaches to the ongoing pressures within the industry.

And, as a non-Brighton resident, I appreciated IO Interactive's approach to ensuring guests knew where their post-conference mixer was taking place.

Really looking forward to Develop Brighton - my first visit - next week. Any/all pro-tips and/or recommendations for the best coffee or cocktail places gratefully received.

Felt like an ancient artefact being unearthed to talk to the Young Indy Chroniclers about my second professional job: a weekly Young Indy newspaper strip written by me, drawn by the much-missed Phil Gascoine for the Daily Telegraph back in distant pre-history (1990, actually).

And before that, he wrote the original James Bond mini-series, Silent Armageddon and Shattered Helix...

Enormously sad news. Comics have lost an immense and singular talent. Ian's family, of course, has lost much more.
