Small but high quality chazza yield. Can never resist original 1960s Motown LPs.

I’m looking forward to spinning a few tunes ahead of @bobfischer.bsky.social’s Haunted Generation show at Glossop Labour Club this Saturday. Expect a mish mash of tv themes, school choirs, brass bands and questionable covers. Business as usual! Tickets here www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/bob-fische...

Do you any of you lovely folk have a copy of this to hand and would be able to look up something for me? Ta!

Fresh back from attending my first car boot sale in about 10 years. One chap selling records all discounted by about 60%. Total spend £20. Pick of the bunch is Merry Mountain Child, an album by an 80 year old Yorkshire sheep farmer. The Donald Byrd ain’t too shabby either! Can’t pass up a Blue Note!

6/ 1998 to 2000 and 2002. Just a few NMEs remain (even though I was still buying both mags every week). I'm pretty sure there are some more, somewhere. You'll find me in the loft...

5/ 1996 and 1997 NME and NM (I binned off loads of these about 20 years ago, so this is what I have left).
August 9, 2025 at 1:20 PM
4/ 1994 and 1995 NME and MM (pretty much a complete run of both for both years).
August 9, 2025 at 1:20 PM
3/ 1992 and 1993 NME and MM.

2/ 1990 and 1991 MM and NME.

1/ Earlier this year I excavated my (long forgotten) collection of music papers from my folks' loft, which I've now added to the stuff I knew I had and have sorted into piles according to title and year. SEND HELP! Let's start with late 80s MM, NME and Sounds and the issues sitting atop the piles 🧵

Amongst my booty for the record fair tomorrow is a stash of classic cassettes. £3 each or two for a fiver!

I'm out and about again tomorrow, peddling my vinyl wares in the charming surroundings of Saltaire. It'll be good to meet up with my Yorkshire compadres from @therecordclub.bsky.social too! If you fancy a nice day out, pop over, buy some records and take in all that Saltaire has to offer!

Quote with a pic of you in the 80s (I’ve corrected the grammar).

#LiveAid 🧵 1/8 I think it's fair to say Live Aid made quite an impression on me. We didn't have a video recorder at the time (that came later in 1985), so I decided I was going to tape highlights from the radio broadcast...

Look out for “The Daltrey Roll” #thewho #liveaid

If there’s a record label with my name on it, I’m going to turn it into a t-shirt! 🤣
