I haven’t read the piece because paywall, but surely universities *are* fully engaging with ‘AI’? HE management are obsessed with it as far as I can see

Ugh I've heard of the Elsevier proof system before! It's really sad to me that the publishers cutting corners most aggressively in areas like this are the ones who could most afford not to.

Proofreading is one thing but typesetting?! Surely no author can be asked to do that?
