It will be interesting (and sad) to follow how these new tariffs will impact the global aviation industry. I really wonder how this will affect long-term corporate decisions in the US, and if the global economy will indeed start to be more US-independent.

🗓️ Tomorrow, YL-CSL will fly to Munich and Brussels from Riga. BT221 will be the first commercial flight for Starlink in Europe. And I’m sure passengers will have a great time.

🛜✈️ Now, the real reason why I'm here is that tonight, the first European flight equipped with Starlink (courtesy of airBaltic) will take off, and with @airwaysmag.bsky.social, we couldn't miss it. Once again, follow along on the Airways channels.

🔴There have been rumours about a large order coming from flydubai. Its CEO, Ghaith Al Ghaith, just commented on Airways: "We are currently assessing our requirement for narrow-body aircraft, and any decision will be announced once it is finalised". Stay tuned for the full story.

🦅✈️ Up close with Embraer's E195-E2 "Tech Eagle" at the 2023 Dubai Airshow. Is this Embraer's best special livery? Honestly, I think so. The level of detail is mindblowing.

🔴 ITA has been more or less humbly bragging for years to be a different entity from Alitalia, a totally new startup born from zero. The truth is, it was just a matter of time before the old Alitalia logo made a comeback.

✈️ SOU-AMS, the second flight of the year on board the same aircraft that took me here (just that this time we can see the sky). Taking off almost 20 minutes ahead of schedule and enjoying the views of the many offshore wind farms!💨

🛫 The first Boeing 777X took off five years ago. Since then, the aircraft has accumulated over 500 orders, as well as countless delays that pushed back the official entry in service to 2026.

🛫 First flight of the year! Flying easyJet U27861 from Amsterdam to Southampton for the weekend. At 33 euros one-way, this may be the cheapest ticket I’ve ever purchased (just six days before flying)

🔟 years of #A350‼️

On January 15, 2015, the first A350-900XWB started commercial service with Qatar Airways on a flight between Doha and Frankfurt. The A350-1000 took off for the first time just over a year later, beginning revenue service in 2018.

🔵 This year, KLM received four A321neos and four E2s, for a total of eight next-gen narrowbodies. This effort is crucial to cope with the always-evolving Schiphol's limitations.

🔴This year, I've been fortunate enough to attend three aircraft inaugurations: Emirates' first A350, KLM's first A321neo, and the world's first A321XLR. What do they have in common? The 'A'. Indeed, they perfectly symbolize Airbus' market leadership.
