I rode a lot in Canberra, rode to work most days regardless of weather, summer 40 degrees to winter minus 5. Moved to Tas and haven't ridden since. I'll be killed here. Not accidentially. I ride motorbikes and its bad enough on them.

Jonathan a few years ago there was aerial footage of suburbs in Queensland after a cycle went through. Lot of damage, roofs gone. But the bulk of the roofs still intact had solar, which a report later identified as being a key reason those roofs survived: the extra weight and fastening helped.
