Micky Pople (Bristol Racing Dept 1954 reserve driver for Le Mans) took part in the BAL. He remembers being buzzed by Migs when they 'accidentally' veered off the agreed flight plan. He said that the USSR's forces were over estimated in strength at the end of WW2, which is interesting.
