Battle of Britain commemoration at Windsor Parish Church and the Guildhall. We will remember them, and never again.

The Merchant Navy Flag was raised over the town hall this week (to coincide with the outbreak of war). A previous councillor in the ward I represent was in the Navy in WW2 protecting the Arctic convoys in treacherous conditions past Norway.

Commemorating VJ80 and the end of WW2 at All Saints, remembering especially all those who served in Burma. Men & women who previously served in the armed forces, cadets, Mayor Mandy Brar and Joshua Reynolds MP also took part. ‘We will remember them’ and ‘never again’. @maidenheadads.bsky.social

Music by Maidenhead waterway for another hour, pleasant way to while away a Saturday afternoon. Congratulations to the organisers for all the work, everyone enjoying themselves.
