I also knew nothing ... I grew up scoring goals, not stopping them. As he started moving up levels I made an effort to learn as much as I could, but if yours gets to a point where she's playing serious competition, a good goalie coach is invaluable. Plenty of time for that though lol

Concur w/ @67sound.bsky.social ... wallet and stress are the keys. If you can manage both, it can be a fun ride. I hated the idea when he was 9/10 yo, but he wanted to stick with it. Played through Jrs and now he coaches (and is also a Caps EBUG lol). Wouldn't trade it for anything.
