I don't like tooting my own horn, but I am a great ape. I have written two books. The first was a novel. The second analyzed litigation challenging the 2020 election. Both were written using a pseudonym because of pervasive bias against gorillas.
@hcrichardson.bsky.social I would very much like to see an actual historian comment on Trump's EO calling for the civil commitment of the homeless. This Facebook post seems about right.

Donald Trump's most recent Jedi mind trick: "The radical left wrote the Epstein files to hurt me. There is nothing in the Epstein files that implicate me."

That Trump's people can believe both these inconsistent statements can be explained only by him being a powerful Sith Lord.

Seems like the Penguin is taking credit for allowing the Joker to continue his crime spree.

Why apes can't dance worth a damn.

Checked into a four star Istanbul hotel. This image was on a TV in the lobby. The question at the bottom is, "Is Trump offended with Xi?"

A government agency thinks it is their job to regulate ideas.

My first thought was that this post, which has been deleted, probably was the work of a rogue employee.

Then I thought of Rümeysa Öztürk and Mahmoud Khalil.

Clearly, this post accurately stated Trump administration policy.

The rich do pay a slightly higher percentage of income tax. But, when you factor in sales tax and property tax, they pay a lower percentage. There has been an unprecedented concentration of wealth at the top. Progressive taxation should be more aggressive.

In this administration, "treason" is defined as "showing support for a country invaded by Russia."

Did you hear the reporter, at the Zelensky/Trump oval office meeting, ask Zelensky why he didn't wear a suit? He said some Americans thought it disrespectful.

Funny that the issue was not raised when Elon Musk was there.

Trump's poll numbers are declining, but Musk's are going down faster. We need to not let Trump pretend that Musk is an independent actor. We must emphasize that Trump just watches as HIS man eviscerates the country, much as he watched TV while HIS J6 rioters ran amok and assaulted police.

A couple of models widely regarded as "flops." Personally, I think the Seville "bustle back" got a raw deal.

But the Cybertruck, for crying out loud, that is just straight-up ugly.

Remember, the guy whose word you accept without any proof whatsoever, said that it is absolutely true that Jews promote "hatred against whites."

If you connect all the dots you find a Georges Seurat portrait of a dishonest man with serious character flaws.

This US attorney implies on social media that he thinks something is suspicious and announces that he will investigate. It serves only one purpose and that is to unfairly defame the attorney. Here is a link so you can easily complain to the DOJ. Please do it now. www.justice.gov/opr/webform/...

The good news, Laurence, is that money saved by not feeding the hungry or healing the sick can be given to SpaceX for sending a few men to Mars (which Trump promised to do).

Won't China feel stupid when it has merely taken Earth, while we have Mars!
February 7, 2025 at 7:58 AM
Thanks, Nick. I don't know that it is accurate to equate government contracts with subsidies, though I suspect that is what Adam was doing. OTH, the owner of SpaceX gave $1/4B to Trump and got a prez that wants to occupy Mars. Corruption in plain sight.

I am sure Trump knows that tariffs are paid by American importers, not foreign governments. Based upon the 5.4K "retruths," and 21K "likes," his pretense to the contrary still works.

I am astounded by the man's mendacity, and the public's gullibility.

I do not think Musk will lose much sleep fretting about the outcome.

As I predicted, European leaders are starting form cooperatives to counter Trump's plan to use America's economic advantages to bully European allies.

You don't hear much about "cultural appropriation" anymore. Finally, I can wear my djellaba in peace.

Consider whether your celebration of murder will promote your cause, or just damage our credibility. Some liberal friends may enjoy your call for violent revolution, but the folks we need to persuade will turn away. The GOP already is using your bloodlust to tar all Dems.
