This highlights two things - 1) it’s effectively an admission that tariffs are a tax on American people and 2) he talks tough but is a coward who backs down to pressure (for the record I want him to back down on tariffs but it just shows he’s full of crap)

Strange. Since they were introduced I found myself getting sensitive and emotional about the impact it would have on poorer folk. Why did it have the opposite effect on me, and not make me go out and cut down trees instead?
