I found the movie 'In time' quite eye-opening, brutally turning money into time and life. While the wealthy make sure to have enough security piled up to last for their lifetime and maybe also that of their offspring, others live with enough to get by one more day or reach the end of the month.

Great work! Looking froward to reading these.

Mike, thanks for continuing to share great work and thoughts. A tool to annotate documents before publication resonates greatly. We've been also thinking about an editor tool (like a grammarly for disinfo) to support content creators spot likely incorrect information and add evidence.

Hey Tim, what about adding an 'Warning: irony/satire' to the post? Some of your extended audience might actually take it at face value.

Two more points I find very revealing:
- uncredentialed voices, unlike doctors, provide: empathy, direct experience, knowledge of other issues of people like me, clear language, accessibility
- 45% of 18–34y-old believe the average person who has done their own research knows as much as a doctor

Great lecture! The question for me is how do we build digital ecosystems that are resilient, if not immune, to these kind of attacks and manipulative uses. And even more, how we build them in an already compromised political landscape like the US, that thrives on these tactics.

Looking forward to another great talk form the EU Disinfo Lab. Thanks!

We 'just' need to break the process before it reaches the battlefield. What are your thoughts on how we could make this happen?

You used some great adjectives to refer to the speech:
- Graceful
- Powerful
- Beautiful
- Remarkable
- Fearless
Yes, moral courage stands out and defies power. Rare but hopefully contagious.

This is a great piece! Lots of valid points: the need for a fact-based public space, for understanding filters, the inability to discern truth making it easy to dismiss opposing opinions... How to address some of these issues remains an open question, maybe something to explore in the next article.
