Art of Julio Ruelas. Mexican graphic artist born 1870. Studied at the Academia de San Carlos in Mexico City before heading to Europe to continue his training. German Romanticism influenced his drawings, which often had bizarre or fantastical elements. Died at the age of 37 in Paris of tuberculosis.
