This went in a completely different direction to what I was expecting but I loved it even more!
I'm not a big fan of the trend of every relationship having dom/sub under or overtones in fanfic, but I simply cannot see Draco as a dom. I know it's popular because MLs being big and strong and burly and dominating is popular, but that guy wants Hermione to walk over him and then he will thank her.

Had a dream last night I clicked on a fic with an intriguing summary only to discover that it was about an American transfer student to Hogwarts who was really pretty and had been betrothed to Draco since childhood. Called Beth. What a strange time in my subconscious!

The more I think about it and the older I get, especially since my father died, the more I feel that what Hermione did to her parents is an immovable point of conflict in any post-Hogwarts fic. It's horrific, it's traumatic, it's morally dubious, it's character changing - it can never be ignored.

The amount of frustration I feel at inefficiency, poor planning and stupidity makes me realise I have an honest to God competency kink. Himbos have never held the smallest appeal for me!
