Yeah no. This is damage control. Their statement says he was warned before for “online trolling and other such actions.” As if they did not know about him hosting an anti-Semite on his podcast (& who knows what else) and his “trolling” was just some kind of mild good fun. I wrote them to say so.

Beware of scams! Dr Laraa, as far as I can see online, is a real veterinarian. Here’s proof even smart people can fall for scams, especially ones that tug on your 🩵 strings. I hope she looks into this further and deletes this skeet.

This is an “exaggeration” or “tall tale” #postcard. Popular in the early 1900s, they were souvenirs and featured oversized produce or animals for a tongue in cheek boast.

I like this one because the walnuts are so realistic looking!

Three giant walnuts sit on a flat train car marked S. P. 48726. I don’t know why it says that. Immediately behind the tracks is farmland with rows of plants. Also in the background are trees. Low hills are silhouetted against a pale blue sky with white clouds. At the top is printed in small red letters is 1895 - probably the postcard company’s model number, plus it says “A carload of walnuts from” followed by an underlined blank space to write any town one chooses. Faintly printed in black in the upper left corner are the words “Copyright 1909 Edward H. Mitchel San Francisco,” which is likely the artist, plus the city where the company was located.

The waves are dark blue, almost black, except for a few cresting in whites to light green blue. The sky is blue green at the top, gradually changing to a pale green then at the horizon it’s a purplish pink shade. A few pink clouds are near the top of the painting. The ship is creating a wave and the whole painting feels in motion. A description elsewhere, that will not fit in the post, is “The three-masted sailing ship Blossom left Connecticut in the United States for Africa, the South Atlantic, and South America on a specimen collecting expedition in 1922. The voyage was sponsored by the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. The ship returned in 1926 with more than 12,000 specimens.”

This hand tinted antique postcard is a view of Magnolia Gardens in Charleston S.C. It’s a real place you can visit today! I 🩵 the delicate shading. It dates abt 1907-1915.

I’m not even a photographer, although my son’s MIL is a professional one. I don’t even know what an F stop is 😆 But I like crime photography like Weegee and 🩵 learning new stuff. This is my DIL. Her mom had her in the studio to practice pregnancy photo shoots. We have a framed one.

How about this recreation of Francis Barraud’s 1898 painting “His Master’s Voice” with a sled #dog named Chris standing in for Nipper? It was taken by Herbert Ponting on Captain Scott’s 1910 British Antarctic Expedition. I 🩵 this! It’s before RCA bought the painting and made it their logo.
A black and white photo in a snowy location; it’s hard to see where the sky meets the ground. On the left is a gramophone. It stands on a wooden box about twelve inches by two feet and has Scott’s Antarctic Expedition 1910 stenciled on the side. There’s a record on the gramophone with the needle down. The sound horn is quite large. To the right the sled dog stands looking into the horn with his front left leg up and bent At the bottom right is a handwritten note but the photograph here is of too low resolution to read.

My outdoor holiday decorations consist of blue & green dot projector lights and this in front of my door. We are #atheist but Solstice is the reason for the season. We enjoy a secular #Xmas like so many others. We do have my grandma’s nativity (+the FSM and pirates), and a Yule Log tradition.
A sun symbol with eights points. It’s made of wood and painted brights yellow with yellow glitter added. In red script it reads, “blessed solstice.” It’s suspended from the ceiling of the porch. I made it.
