I know I won't be able to get through both audiobooks on Libby that finally came through on my holds. But that WON'T stop me from grabbing them both in hopeless optimism!

I really enjoy how much of my feed on @bsky.app consists of people being adorably proud of the food they've made. It's inspiring!

How to get a toddler to potty:

Step 1: Ask them to potty
Step 2: Withstand the "No! No! No!"s
Step 3: Make a big show of, for once, going potty all alone. It will be the first time you have EVER done this, no exaggeration
Step 4: Watch as they run in desperately to potty with you. Never alone!

I just declined a YEAR'S worth of calendar invites for a work committee I am no longer on. It was glorious!

After 3 attempts at getting my iron levels up, I can finally donate blood again. Wahoo! Come get me, vampires!

4 year old wants to watch Men's Portuguese Soccer (we are in the US) and he is making up names for every player on FC Tirsense's and Benfica's team. Definitely makes the whole experience more fun!

I used @grandpoobear.bsky.social's phrase, "Don't yuck on someone else's yum," with high schoolers towards the end of last school year and the suscinct brilliance of it blew their minds. Getting ready for a new KY school year and hoping to pass it on again!

Finally playing Zelda: EoW. One of my favorite parts is seeing how the people of Suthorn Villiage talk about Link when he isn't there. They love that kid and appreciate that he is not just courageous, but kind. A great peek behind the Hyrulean curtain.

Not laughing at the innocently inappropriate things my toddler does is one of my great daily struggles.

I'm in no way a cook, but making banana bread with a 4 year old will 100% of the time bring joy (and mess) into your life. I hope everyone likes cinnamon because he had total discretion to add what he wanted, and boy did he go to town.
