using a dip pen to trace my backgrounds onto celluloid sheets and then paint with oil paints. i’m using oil paints and not acrylic as i enjoy the buttery-ness, the colors are brighter (from my experience acrylic drys darker). they take longer to dry, so it’s an experiment with student grade paint.

Not proud of this #animation but posting as a critique. The signs for the pizzeria are too bold white and the camera dolly is too weird for my taste. playing with a 3d scene and lighting in After Effects and loving the potential! My movie will be animated in #aftereffects.

I will be drawing all my background in daylight and converting them to night in photoshop. here the boys are stranded in a lighthouse on an island somewhere in Canada. this is digital but it will make sense when i paint the celluloid sheets for the final project.
