Something I learned when I went to a Redwood forest:

1) photos don’t do their height justice. They’re THAT tall.

2) trees can steam

3) the holes are made for me
A zoomed in shot of a Redwood stump basked in the light of the sun. There’s a faint layer of vapor coming off of it due to the light hitting the wet stump causing the moisture to evaporate. It was chilly, and I swore it was leftover fuzz of cotton on top of a stump until I realized it was moving. Four giant redwoods stand together and stretch up to the sky with gaping holes at their base, charred from lightning and forest fires. They are in fact one singular tree that grew into 4 after the original had burned down, its roots surviving the fire that took it down and sprouting the four brothers in the photo. The picture does not do their towering height any favors. They are very very VERY very tall. Me (4ft and 11 inches tall-ish) in my mask and white puffer jacket, peeking out of a hole inside a redwood tree covered in a hint of moss. The hole is twice my height and if not for rent and capitalism I could hang a hammock and live out my fae dreams of living inside a tree because I’m that small and it’s that big.

Trigun Stampede Trailer Shaker Charm: a square shaker charm depicting a panicked Meryl & Roberto from the front of their trailer truck and Wolfwood smacked against it. The shakeable pieces are Wolfwood, his cross, and a tiny cigarette. The charm is hung with a silver bead chain on the top left corner. GACHIAKUTA BOTTLE CAP BUTTON BADGES: Two bottle cap buttons featuring intricate designs of Zanka’s “Aibo” stick and Riyo’s “Ripper” scissors attached to silver chain bracelets.
