You are absolutely correct. Many Gen Xers have forgotten what it was like back in the 1980/90s. I've talked to co-workers and reminded them of how pre-existing conditions affected us. Drives me nuts that they talk crap about the ACA but benefit from it.

This happened to me during my first pregnancy. I changed employers and had to wait 90 days for insurance. I didn't know I was pregnant. The insurance refused to insure me at all because I was pregnant.
