I haven't done a lot of shading in Illustrator, nor done much with ponies. It's been fun to try this out on Luna, which I hope to make part of a larger piece.

Attempt #2 at giving alicorn Sunny a different mane style. The last version had too many strands, so I'm trying something more tapered. In the process, I learned a nifty trick to do some simple shading.

Was never a fan of Sunny's mane in Alicorn form. I'd like to see it more flowing, but not like Celestia or Luna.

So, I'm not a big fan of Twilight's full-grown design. Primarily the mane. So I'm trying some ideas out for an alternate style.

Though I do have a twisted nostalgia for the days leading up to that Game of Thrones episode. Having read the books, I waited to see how people would react the following Monday.

Did a little more work on Twilight's evolution from crowning to growing into the next Equestrian ruler. Upon the advice of @mintyroot.bsky.social, I tried a more stylized, rounded mane style before her powers grow to the point where she just has to let it flow freely.

I am so very envious of Kamen Rider Zeztz's protagonist, Baku Yorozu.
He as the greatest superpower of all: the ability to go to sleep in just a few minutes!

Without getting into the reasons behind this, I did a test of Stan Bush's "The Touch" against the combining sequence for the heroic mecha, GaoGaiGar.
I only made two edits to the video portion, but it's amazing how closely they sync up.
