This convinced me to try out the demo, picked up the full game today and can hardly put it down. Thanks for the recommendation!

The Pokemon Company doesn't realize the PR disaster they have on their hands by killing this thread

Obsidian *can* do a lot. But you can very much just use it like an improved notepad with checklists and markdown, and it's very good for that. It doesn't force any of the complex stuff on you, very lightweight by default.

You an assassin's creed multiplayer guy? (that one was actually kinda cool)

Think the combo of covid into llms everywhere has done massive damage to people's critical thinking skills

Same. Also just doing +1 and seeing how high I could get without turning it off. This might be a game for me

why are there always droves of people saying "no but this one is actually really good" like they've never seen a normal video game

Could be cool to see some Quick Looks for games getting major updates like this, particularly if it's a game that didn't get featured at launch (I checked and saw there was a GB stream of this though and will probably check that out)

I've had coworkers when I ask them a question about their code literally tell me they're turning around and asking the question to chatgpt, and then when I ask them about the validity of a chatgpt suggestion they send back to me acting confused that I would question it.

started it last night and thought that was hilarious and for a second thought it might be a bug, but was very pleasantly surprised I could run that fast too

The mod is called that because it *does* fix a lot of things that are pretty objective problems with the game, and just also happens to (have an option for) removing cutscene letterboxing.

Will the difficulty of this be accessible if I played some of but didn't finish the original, or is it expecting you to come in with knowledge from that?

You were a major part of creating a new era at GB when I didn't think that would be possible, truly embodied the site in the best way and always admired your work ethic. Will absolutely be following game mess and anything else you do next <>

Really nice surprise that this is coming out soon, liked the demo a while back

Add the Gary Bowser situation to the list. #1 reason I've been avoiding buying from them

I missed this? I know about MLB erasing stuff from their site but what did the dodgers do?

Rewatched it last year and it's crazy how extremely literally the finale spells out that "they were dead the whole time" is not what happened, but I guess people just stopped paying attention.

Imagining a Christian Carpenter who is both of those things and keeps saying "but don't mistake me for jesus!"

How long is the showcase expected to be?

Metroid Prime, although they're mostly a bit less about shooting mechanics and more puzzly bosses, do have a lot of positioning based stuff, still enjoyable.

Revita, a platformer roguelite with bullet hell elements. Both overlooked and underrated, it got some decent reception, but nowhere near what it deserves. One of if not the best in the genre, incredibly refined mechanics, tight balance, great variety and progression.
