Saturday’s market stall was as fun as ever, and I may need to put a new t-short order in. Last event of the year, but I have a few Leeds Nomad things in the works. #chooserave

Blimey. My first time on vinyl. I only came in for a copy of The Best of The Beatles.

A journey that started with a book by @johnrobbofficial.bsky.social finally reached the north west.

A privilege to be among great panelists at the Manchester Big Cities Conference talking about Leeds goth heritage.

Such an enjoyable session, chaired by the lovely legend @davehaslam.bsky.social.

I wasn’t going to do the pin badge as well, but it now seems I am.

And, if they’re called Smileeds (they are), then I wonder what these are called. Ghostleys? Scareys?

Anyway, the stickers and fridge magnets are here.

Maybe buying a copy of all the releases featured in the 1984 edition of the Guinness Book of British Hit Singles might be a bit expensive and take longer than I’d originally thought. Anyway, I’ve made a start.

No one remembers me as the Coca-Cola Boy, or that our trousers were turned up until we grew into them.

Ooh, this looks interesting. I might enter.

There are others. Maybe I’m finally a fridge magnet magnate. All are now on sale at Indie Makers in Leeds Corn Exchange.

Wow, how time flies. One year today. Just a simple little email. Still amazed The Mission accepted and came back to the Bear Pit in Leeds to recreate the band’s first photoshoot in 1986.

Heritage Open Days is always an opportunity to try new things. Bridges of Leeds has been a lot of work, but so nice to collaborate with my brother, who researched and wrote all twelve bridge stories. Huge thanks to Leeds Civic Trust for the funding. Join in at LeedsNomad.com

Today, I launched my Heritage Open Days audio trail. Two people have already completed it. The key thing, though, is that I formed a band just so each of the 12 episodes has a consistent signature tune. I’m now in a Leeds band called Motorway City.
