no, it uh does both ways
you can use your phone as a keyboard

connect to computer
press play on supporting midi player
sound comes out your android device

fluidsynth plays it
the rest say they only send out signal to your pc
you probably could find more

you plug your android device into your computer
and it shows up as a midi device
then you download an app on your device and it can send and receive midi events (i.e. play the notes or send notes to your computer) to some other midi software on your computer

it is uh
a noticable upgrade
when previously you could feel the stuttering from the nvidia gpu being too busy to do basic desktop tasks now its only the cpu being too busy to do basic desktop tasks
also the monitors freesync isnt bugged (for now) and control ran at qhd ultra wo RT at 120fps
