I have a suspicion that Mikawa grew a lot between this and Gimai Seikatsu, because otherwise I have a very hard time believing this will become an actually good story.

This one for some reason reminds me of THE REFLECTION WAVE ONE, but I don't want to reflect on that because it will be too painful, watching one episode of the "Let's Play" was enough for today. Maybe VA style? I don't really want to remember

Absurd how this is doing all this adventure and worldbuilding and plot stuff better than 99% of the anime-fantasy or anime-sf or whatever titles that supposed to be focused on exactly that.

Yes! This scene when Marine, left to her own devices, decides to sew a button, was arguably the most impressive fragment of the episode for me, how well it worked in conjunction with the suddenly quiet room.

Yes, give me more intentional and *directed* anime. Maybe I am just stupid, but I LOVE when people very obviously creative, and especially when they are good at it. Inject those fun transitions directly in my veins and let me breathe that clever camera angles and pans.
