You can never have too many versions of one of the greatest albums of all time.

I love the 2015 remaster but the original master isn't on streaming, so I got the CD a few years ago to have and compare. Recently I bought a cassette player and so I HAD to get it on tape too.

Very much appreciate the bookend statements by @scumbelievable.bsky.social in her Naked Gun review – a film I completely wrote off before reading this and have since booked a ticket. Gretchen's Patreon is very much worth it for the insightful reviews alone.
Every single moment of The Naked Gun, and I mean this in the most complimentary sense, is stupid. Every bit is more moronic than the last, a relentless onslaught of idiocy so overwhelming it feels like getting battered by thirty-foot breakers in a storm at sea. No matter how you slice it, Akiva Schaffer's return to the classic comedy franchise is a resounding success and one of the funniest movies l've ever seen.

I'm reeling from having just finished Model Home by Rivers Solomon. I have no words other than you should read it. Definitely my favourite of their novels so far – which are all great. Beautifully written and very much worth your time. I'll be thinking about this for a long while.
