Ignorance bloomed from privileged soil, indeed. As if masking/passing/etc is a fun hobby folks work on mastering. Like pottery 😆 As sincere a compliment as it might be, it just highlights "other-ness" in more ways than just what is being masked.

Al can't respect him or even fathom being in a partnership with the representation of everything that kept him down until he stabbed his way upward. Allowing Vox in his orbit was another delicious chance to be above looking down. And if he ground his heel? More's the better.

I have this suspicion that, while we can respect our lovable killer for being a killer, we're going to get some additional context for both his human years and his early interactions with Vox that pull heavily from his racial background. Because you know - you KNOW Vox is the most cis white man.
