Progress! Finally chose a body design and got the tail, head and body connected.

Still working through options for the arms and legs, but happy with how well it sits up, even without legs. 🧶

Dealing with back pain by trying to come up with a pattern for a crochet fox. Really happy with the head, and leaning towards the more teardrop body shape. 🧶

Though I might redo the body again to fix the white; it's getting twisted somehow.

After so much back and forth with illness, Lloyd had a really good week and I thought maybe we'd get a little more time, but it was not to be. After he greeted my husband when he got home, he went into his crate, collapsed and was gone within a minute or so. He was my best buddy for almost 15 years.

Ended up restarting the Derby portrait series with watercolors after all 🏇🎨🖌️

At least 15 more to go!
5 three by three inch portraits of thoroughbreds done in watercolor. First is Tiztastic, a nearly black colt with a big white blaze and wide eyes. 2nd is East Avenue a very dark bay with a big white diamond star and a sweet expression.3rd is Tappan Street, a bright bay with a star and a cute, foxy face. 4th is Publisher, a warm bay with a little star arching his neck proudly. 5th is Luxor Cafe, another bay with a little, thin stripe of a star and a dashing expression.
