It’s wild how much of that game just feels like injected Tales of Arise’s DNA (bad) into an Atelier entry.

I love Granblue’s world and characters, but man, the handling of the IP’s multimedia & international efforts have been such dogshit it’s got me making this vent thread. (5/5)

It’s almost been two years since Relink dropped and all we got for DLC is another two Year 1 characters (+ Sandy) and nothing else. And there’s been no news or hints of a follow-up happening. (4/5)

I would say this is all probably a result of this game being in development hell since 2016, having been intended to release in 2018.

But Versus Rising released in late 2023 and almost all of its new characters + Season 1 of the DLC were still from Granblue’s first year. (3/5)

And every. single. character. is from the first year of Granblue’s life.

Mind you, this game released on Granblue’s -TENTH- anniversary.

I will give the game credit in that each character is incredibly fleshed out, but lord this representation is dreadful. (2/5)

Extremely strong ngmi energy and iA that outcome manifests sooner rather than later.

RtDl I feel like you could at least make the case that it benefited more from the aesthetic improvements and combat changes.

Like Robobot and Triple Deluxe getting ported with a resolution bump would suffice over the level of work RtDl got.
