Felt like an album cover waiting to happen.

Aye! I hope the sprues are as packed as the old Blightkings box was. I got so, so, so much conversion mileage from those kits. So excited to see the new ones.

all those new Nurgle sculpts revealed today are cool. I'm not going to be able to resist them.

I was so glad I got to see it in a theater during the limited release. Great film.

what about a fight in a swamp?

Yes, given they do list what recipes an item can be used in on the item, you'd think it could also list what upgrades they are a part of.

On the flip side it has also managed to make me *excited* to loot things like toasters, dog collars, and even old rusted tools :p

Aye, the item upgrades aren't obvious at first. I keep pretty much everything now, at least until I get all those upgrades done.

I scrapped so many stupid toasters before I realised I actually needed three of em for one of the upgrades, now can't find one for the life of me!

and there have been a proverbial *ton* of great games this year! So I've been genuinely surprised how well this one has landed for me.

I suspect the list of different folks GOTY to be very broad and diverse this year, but this one might just be edging it for me.

The core design of how they force those reactions from players, and how well that ties into both the games resource economy and scarcity, and the latent PVP tensions of the genre, is very impressive.

Can't remember the last time a game's core design itself impressed me this much.

There will definitely be folks that go 'WTF did I just watch???', but as an animation fan I *love* seeing something this experimental being allowed by such a huge franchise.

I feel like I have to try to resist, given I still haven't painted the contents of the Cursed City box in my backlog.

I had the opposite experience spending time in Montreal. It's only when you live there you suddenly start seeing how many times it is used in movies for other places! It's a strange experience for a cinephile.

A while back I tried to describe the social currency involved in Everquest when it came to the monk class retrieving other people's corpses, and needing good Monk friends for your corpse runs.

Then realized how many other contexts I had to explain to get past the blank looks :p
