Don’t think I’ve ever listened to @blankcheck.bsky.social podcast, but I’m 58 minutes in and they’ve barely brought up Buster Scruggs and I’m honestly alright with that. They’ve just been shooting the shit about movies for an hour and it’s been fun. Dudes rock!

Listen, I’m just digging into Hindu/Jain/Buddhist philosophy and have a very shallow grasp of Wittgenstein, but I feel like this sort of pre-figures the lingual criticisms he had of philosophy about 1500 years later. Does anyone else see what I mean?

Watching Baahubali: The Epic has me interested in Hindu deities and it seems like different deities have different mounts. I’m reading about Ganesha, the god depicted as an anthropomorphic elephant. He rides a friggin MOUSE. Look at this. Amazing mythology.

Accidentally saw A Very Small Dog in person today and I loudly gasped when I realized it was there. I can’t believe this is a Wyeth painting, an art family from my area. A real honor to be able to see it up close.
