I read a lot, make way too many dumb jokes, and occasionally do some journalism.
Me waiting on the phone call when the car has been doing Weird Things and the garage tells me they have to do research before they can give me a repair quote

As a thoroughly ADHD-having ex-dopamine addict I sympathise with the general idea, but when are we going to stop this faux helplessness before the dreaded paragraph? It's not productive to embrace this perceived lack of control and act like reading is insurmountable.

Man, Enid Blyton is a bit darker than I remember.

Been blasting a lot of Green Day and My Chemical Romance lately. Now back on my Alan Moore bullshit. Think I accidentally woke up age 17 again.

Smoothed out my Tunnocks wrapper and thinking it looks like old timey Communist posters. Anyone? No?

It's that time of year, and I somehow made my reading goal. Considering this year has been utter chaos I'm very proud I made it. And tomorrow, I get to set another goal and do it all again 😂 #booksky 💙📚

Storm Darragh has me remembering this picture I took during 2023's Storm Babet. I'd only been working as a photojournalist for a few months, and this was the first photo that made me think that with a bit of hard work and determination, I might end up being kinda semi sorta not bad at it.

I've been pretty unwell recently but today I finally managed to read for over four hours for the first time in almost a month! This time a few weeks ago I could barely manage half an hour so I'm psyched to say the least.

Anyway according to the Duolingo stats I can cross "murdered by a disappointed owl" off my list of things to worry about. For now.

Biggest takeaway from my Duolingo year in review is that the Duo owl apparently doesn't just have cakes but in fact a whole bakery

Just picked this book up! The very first story is one of my all-time favourite ghost stories: "'Oh, Whistle, and I'll Come to You, My Lad'" by M. R. James. Needless to say I'm having a fun and spooky time. 💙📚

Woke up to find #StormBert had plastered some of the windows with snow, but so far that's been the most dramatic part of it. Shame the snow didn't last -- would have been proper sticky stuff!

Throwback to the time I was staying in Dartmoor National Park and met one of the resident wild ponies! Didn't even know Dartmoor had them and so I was unbelievably excited.
