Ideally, violence has no place in civilised politics.

Unfortunately, violence is already replacing "civilised" politics.

Punch a nazi before you find yourself alone in a crowd of them.

The political right has rarely restrained itself from violence. Trump is using "law" enforcement to actively, illegally, and violently remove people from society when they are in a demographic that is likely to vote against him.

I no longer know what options exist other than some form of violence.

The civilised mechanisms to resolve this situation have all been deliberately removed, or deliberately rendered impotent, by those that should be the prime targets of those mechanisms.

At this point, I don't think there's an action that Trump could take that would make elected Republicans impeach or remove Trump.

Currently, Trump's administration is using the US military to murder foreign nationals in international waters. If he is ever impeached for it, I would be shocked.

The House of Representatives and the Senate appear to be unable to work together on literally any topic and within each house they also appear to be unable to work on any given topic in a bipartisan manner.

The Supreme Court was already exceptional with regards to being allowed to accept "gifts" before Trump forced less than competent people onto the Supreme Court.

Now, that court goes out of its way to hold power UNaccountable.

Trump and his supporters have successfully removed the possibility Trump's actions producing systemic consequences. He essentially has the Monopoly guy locked in his basement printing "get out of jail free" cards non-stop.

Where that line is, I can't say but there has to be a line. Otherwise, it becomes inevitable that someone will remove or neutralise the non-violent protections that have been built up to safeguard democracy.

Other people contributed to huge parts of the story but the kindness of that stranger removed the biggest barrier to that trip (needed to rush a new passport).

These days you don't get more than 7 hours of total runtime before you get cancelled because less than 1 in 3 people watched it within an hour of it dropping on a streaming platform.
