That still has nothing to do with her comment.

She spoke about American Movie companies focusing on reboots, retellings, and sequels.

You went on a tangent unrelated to the subject.

No one here knows why

Tone is lost in text. I read your message as being the dick. I apologize. It's just such a random question that doesn't seem to relate to the whole message of enjoying movies that are not based on a retelling or reboot of some other movie.

Yes, Anime exists. Cartoons exist. Books exist. So what?

That whistling sound was the point flying over your head...

Unfortunately Bluesky's limitations in messaging make this nearly impossible without being annoying.

You listed tropes and themes that can reference similarity between stories but do not negate originality of the stories you compared.

It feels like you compared apples and oranges and argued fruit

I think you just described a literary theme as well as ideas. That in and of itself is not a reboot or retelling.

Finding common themes is not difficult. Robocop can be compared to Jesus as a guy who died and was resurrected, but that's just a similar theme. Not a retelling or reboot.

Tldr, no

Don't forget subtle eye shape to resemble a kind loving mother. Until mad, then suddenly she drops the apron, the pony tail, and is speaking to her husband like she is a former gang member.

If you know the anime scene I just described, share. I think I saw this or it was a dream.
