Representatives from Africa, gathered at the Technical University of Mombasa for an outreach event hosted by the Kenyan Ministry of Environment, Climate Change & Forestry with support from the IPCC, to learn about the IPCC and how to strengthen the voice of Africa in IPCC’s global assessments.

The Second Lead Author Meeting for IPCC’s Special Report on Climate Change & Cities kicks off today in Mombasa, Kenya.

Nearly 100 authors from over 50 countries will work from 21-25 July on the report's first draft. The release of this Special Report is planned for March 2027.
