I can see that. I just think from the first meeting Hannibal had with Will and when it was over Jack told Hannibal not to push Will that hard, meanwhile, Hannibal thinks that Jack pushes Will too hard... It feels like they are fighting over who has power over Will.

Yeah, that's one of my favorite scenes. And Will is intuitive enough to know he shouldn't force Jack to talk, but just be there.

That's an interesting comparison. I like it. I just think that if Jack was treating Will more like his daughter, that he would be more careful with him. Fragile little teacup, yes, but he still pushes Will till he breaks. But, for Jack I do believe the connection to Will feels somewhat fatherly.
