Don’t hesitate to reach out to local potters through their social media pages. Many are excited to meet and exchange ideas with potters from other countries. ☺️

I’m lucky to have friends who know creatives to connect me with local potters. A couple of them were trained abroad, so their English was great.

My knowledge of Japanese is seriously lacking, so Google Translate or Papago were incredibly helpful. 😅

Aside from the museums, Seto in Aichi is an incredible location for pottery. I’m definitely returning to Seto because the half-day trip was not enough.
