Dylan Moore’s Shoulders

Felix, Kirby, Miller, Kikuchi, Leake. A true ace, 2 more guys who are solid 2s with Ace potential, a hard throwing lefty who while inconsistent, flashes great stuff, and a solid innings eater at number 5

Must be doing something right when Savant has him listed as most similar to Chris Sale, Tarik Skubal, and Blake Treinen. The 2 most recent Cy Young winners and an elite closer. Hyped to see what he does in 2025

The mariners were 26th of 30 teams in bullpen WAR last season. They do in fact need bullpen arms. Fujinami is a potential impact bullpen arm. It’s a minor league deal that in no way will stop the Mariners from adding bats. Use your 🧠.

And to be clear, I’m not saying you are “fanning” wrong if you have been a part of what I’m ranting about. This is just my perspective on it as a non jaded Mariners fan who is actually perfectly happy with the Donovan Solano signing. Even though, obviously I would have preferred Walker or Alonso

It will help you figure out where the player fits in the roster and why the Mariners would acquire them. Rather than seeing a name you don’t instantly recognize as a superstar, glance at their age and determine that is all you need to form a complete opinion on the both the player and the signing.

And not, “wow an old man for my shitty baseball team. I bet he’s gonna blow chunks and piss me off all year. Fuck Dipoto!!” And to those fans who see a signing and feel the urge to immediately react to it. I ask that you take atleast 1 minute to look at the guys Fangraphs page before commenting.

Because after a lifetime of being a Mariners fan, I somehow haven’t become a jaded, miserable husk of a fan. I cheer on my guys and my team and hope and wish for the best. When we sign a veteran like Solano, all I can think of is, “sweet, he hits pretty well, I hope he’s fun to watch next year.”
January 14, 2025 at 2:10 AM
But damn, when the first 10 comments/posts I see about the Mariners signing a good MLB hitter(yes he’s old, but yes he’s good) are nothing but those brain dead copy pasted bot-ass replies, it’s just disheartening. And in some ways, pathetic. Maybe it feels that way to me because I’m the crazy one.

Sure, it sucks that we aren’t spending money, and I agree ownership is cheap as hell and these billionaires should quit pinching pennies. If you want to cancel your season tickets or tell your friends and family not to go to games anymore, that’s your decision. Fine with me. I get it.
January 14, 2025 at 2:10 AM
Parts of this fanbase have just decided to go full social media spambot and instantly copy paste the same , “boycott, fire dipshito, launch Stanton into the sun, we’ll never be good again” comments on every post/article regarding the M’s and anything they do(or don’t do)
January 14, 2025 at 2:10 AM
He would have been our 5th best hitter last season behind Robles, Raley, Arozarena and Turner. Just ahead of Cal and Julio. He’s old but has been an above average hitter and doesn’t strike out much. Makes contact. He’s cheap and he’s useful.

What a depressing way to be a sports fan
January 12, 2025 at 7:15 PM
Do you think any of our starting pitching depth will blossom into a legitimate #4 or better starter over the course of 2025? Hancock, Evans, Garcia. Even if our rotation stays healthy again this year(knock on wood)it’s inevitable that there will be a few spot starts needed throughout the year.
January 12, 2025 at 4:21 AM
Of the fringe players on the roster right now(Bliss,Canzone,Shenton,Locklear,Rivas etc.)who do you guys feel has the best chance to stick as a legitimate role player in 2025 that we all fall in love with à la" Jose Caballero, Sam Haggerty, Mike Ford etc.

Fan Fiction Friday:

More of a floor raiser than a big exciting upside play.
Urias to 3B
Lopez to 2B
Mullins to cover OF/DH with Randy/Robles insurance
Frees Raley to be 1B
Bender is a solid middle relief option with leverage potential.
Orioles may want money from somewhere though.

Further thoughts; Phillies may want somebody to eat some cash between Castillo and Arenado

Cards may also want one more top 10 prospect in haul for trading both Noot and Donovan. Hopefully from the Phillies.
December 13, 2024 at 8:30 AM
3 team trade involving the Mariners, Cardinals, and Phillies.

Sending out Castillo, Ford, and a handful of other prospects for Donovan,Helsley,Schwarber, and Bohm.

Full trade details are in the image, tried to make it as clear as possible.

No thanks

Since the M’s have little money to spend this offseason, if you had to choose only one of 2B or 3B to be filled via trade/FA which would you guys prefer? Assuming that the position you don’t choose is then filled by in-house players. Which of Bliss/Shenton do you guys have more confidence in?

With the M’s budget being so tight this offseason, if you had to choose only one of 2B or 3B to be filled via trade/FA which would you guys prefer? Assuming that the position you don’t choose is then filled by in-house players such as Bliss and Shenton. Which of those 2 guys do you feel best about?

True, in my head I’ve been running with the assumption that Haniger is getting DFA’d or dumped somewhere in a trade by opening day. We can only hope that’s the case
