Just started this super readable book and I'm finding it very refreshing. A boy who isn't taken in by the flashiness of Xmas (and is also neurodivergent) and a new dog friend called Susan. Would recommend!

"Being the best test-taker in the world isn't much help for discovering either new truths about the world or new ways of thriving in it." p.190, The Gardener and the Carpenter by Alison Gopnik; reading this book on the recommendation of @drnaomifisher.bsky.social Very interesting and insightful!

Currently reading The Burnings by Naomi Kelsey and am wondering if there is a booklist with titles from last 5ish years that tell stories of witches in Scotland/Scandinavia #readingforpleasure

Wow, I never thought I'd be heartbroken for his little-big lizard boy when I started this book! What a clever, funny and really real story this is. You should read it #ReafingForPleasure @patricknessbooks.bsky.social
