Definitely a bit more tweaking needed compared to Plex, but it went smoother the first time setting it up compared to setting up Plex the first time.

Setup wasn't too bad, but definitely noticed a difference in metadata matching vs Plex, and adjusting the files names and folders to work better, caused Plex to completely lose metadata for a few shows.

Got the Samsung TV client installed and had no issues with playback.

What's your feeling on flights going out of YHZ tomorrow? in the early/mid afternoon (before 3)? Any chance or nah?

Also where did it even come from? I don't see any of my posts or replies using it.

Um what is that first word?

Probably a dumb question but: Does it have HDMI CEC support?
February 23, 2025 at 3:25 AM
I know Raspberry Pis have it onboard, and I know I can buy a USB adapter for passing it from HDMI to the system, but it's just annoying that I have to do workarounds to get something to work that should just be more common.

Heck I love going back and watching videos I watched in the past, some absolute classics from back in the day, between 2007 and 2010, even leading up into 2013.

Okay so there actually are people complaining (quick Google search), but YouTube legitimately has an option of removing a video from the feed with the reason of "I've already watched this video" so okay it's not perfect, but it's something and it does more than just complaining about it.

Woah woah woah hold the fuck up for a second. There are people actually complaining about that?

What the hell would they rather have? The video they watched not show up at all? What if they didn't finish it?

How is that something that even remotely should be complained about?

For instance, a channel that was once popular because of their beagles, seems to just be exploiting their dogs now for "views", (which they're lucky if they even crack ten thousand views.) I unsubscribed from them after seeing it turned into a content farm. I hadn't watched them in years. It's sad.

Unrelated to my other post, now that I've been encouraged to use the subscriptions tab more often, I'm seeing a lot of channels I subscribed to years ago or don't even remember. It's both nostalgic and a bit depressing, especially seeing some channels just fall on hard times. It's quite sobering tbh

Google Fu is a dying skill sadly :(

Honestly I have a love-hate relationship with @github.com actions, love it when it works, hate it when I have to spend several commits debugging just the most mundane (and sometimes obvious but I'm being dumb) things. But compared to something like Jenkins, I'll deal with it any day.
