It does sound a bit Christian like, "help me through the door" the door bring death. A terrible thing, don't we all know?! By culture, I'm an English/protestant athiest, but it resonates. There's definately something, somewhere!

This eventually led to her being convicted & imprisoned for witchcraft. She was, I believe, the last person ever to be found guilty of such a "crime." Still got the telegram my grandparents received, notifying them of the death of their son. It's a standard telegram, but it's still difficult to read

There was initially a news blackout about the sinking, but it was a badly kept secret. An interesting back-story, was about a "medium" called Helen Duncan, who revealed to her audience about the sinking via a seance, after she claimed she had spoken to a dead sailor...

That would suggest that the Scottish NHS was actually failing, but it's easy to get stats that support an opinion when you want to find them. But, anyway, I don't care for oneupmanship, I like Scotland & Scottish people & as an Englishman, I believe the year 1707 was a good year for both countries.
