Oh, I guess there is a digital effect since the text was added in a separate layer on Procreate using the Text function. Purple hyacinths mean “Please forgive me.”

I did this from start to finish all on stream last January! I was trying to replicate traditional painting in Procreate and trying to not make it look “too digital”, so this is all painted on one layer with no other layers or layer effects added to it. I think I’m getting closer!
