I don't think this is a thing outside of very edgy, very try-hard transgressive fiction... and they're usually going for psychologically disturbing rather than "Long Live Evil"

Exactly. I've played so many of these, I feel like I'd be immune to writer's block. I feel like I'd be way better at it than romance. Romance is harder than it looks.

It's really discouraging that in 2024 there's still so few who managed to break out of supporting roles. Viola Davis, Cynthia Erivo, Angela Bassett... Can't even think of anyone under 30 aside from Bailey in the Little Mermaid remake that people are *still* upset about
