Internet providers must "certify in writing that they will not require or take additional federal subsidies" or else lose out on the Broadband, Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) funds, said Arielle Roth, head of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration, on Oct. 28.

🎓U.S. universities added more master's programs, and int'l and American students, especially in STEM fields.

💲Chinese master's students ➡️ higher tuition revenues for U.S. schools, but did not cause tuition hikes.

🌇 Local U.S. economies also benefited as demand for goods and services grew.
